The ForHeritage project promotes integrated heritage management engaging communities, mobilising funding and developing capacities for enhanced protection and management of cultural heritage assets in central Europe.
Damaged and neglected historical buildings are a common feature of many central Europe regions, and insufficient funding for renovations is indicated as the main obstacle. ForHeritage project promotes excellence in heritage management by capitalizing on knowledge from previous Interreg and Horizon 2020 projects that tested integrated approaches for the effective management of cultural heritage. ForHeritage exploits existing tools and experiences pushing the results into the practice of the regions. By focusing on management aspects, ForHeritage will fill the gap in the capacities of regional and local actors to exploit different sources of funding for revitalizing neglected sites and buildings.
