INTERREG CENTRAL EUROPE AT #EUREGIONSWEEK

This year's EU Regions Week proved that even digitally, regions can still exchange and learn from each other. In the week dedicated to cohesion and cooperation, our programme and projects played an active role in many sessions. We discussed the future of cooperation in central Europe and some of the key challenges ahead for our regions.

CIVITAS Forum 2019


The CIVITAS Forum has chosen to go 'back to the future' and look at the interplay between new technology and classic mobility solutions in the present day. Participants visiting our Interreg stand had a chance to learn more about how are our projects better connect CENTRAL EUROPE and how they contribute to the more sustainable mobility in our cities.

Regional and Economic Diplomacy Summit 

The main goal of the Summit was to demonstrate the importance of international cooperation as a leading force for the development of local communities. During the BREAKOUT SESSION 2.1 | LOCAL GOVERNMENT on 9 September, two CENTRAL EUROPE projects ENERGY@SCHOOL and FabLabNet  were presented.

8th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region

The EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) is the second EU macro-regional strategy adopted by the European Commission in 2010 and endorsed by the European Council in 2011. This edition of the forum took place in Bucharest.  Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE was there too to present results of our projects working on solving challenges concerning this region.

10th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region

The forum explored the link between the EU Baltic Sea Strategy and growing challenges such as depopulation, ageing, migrations, new production and consumption models, but also new social, cultural, mobility and labour market patterns, which influence our everyday behaviours and attitudes. Our projects dealing with similiar challenges were there too actively participating in the debates.

Forum of Cities and
Regions

The Forum was be a meeting of cities and regions from the Western Balkans and partners participating in the Berlin Process, organised by Ministry of Investment and Economic Development in the framework of the Polish Presidency. Our projects AMIIGA, FabLabNet, ARTISTIC, PPI2Innovate, HICAPS and SENTINEL were presented at the forum and in the exhibition area.

INTERREG CENTRAL EUROPE AT #EUREGIONSWEEK

At the 16th EU Regions Week representatives from more than 140 regions and cities came to Brussels to discuss future challenges of cohesion policy. We were there too, to show  that we believe #cooperationiscentral for a stronger and better Europe.

OUR PROJECTS AT THE TEN-T DAYS 2018

Two of our transport projects showed that “Interreg makes the difference” at the TEN-T Days in Ljubljana. CONNECT2CE and TalkNET participated in a joint stand of Interreg projects. The projects work on smart, sustainable and safe mobility.

LOOKING BACK AT 20 YEARS OF COOPERATION IN CENTRAL EUROPE

20 years ago the first transnational Interreg programme was launched for central Europe. We celebrated this anniversary with a major conference in Berlin where we took a closer look at what transnational cooperation has done for central Europe and discussed the role of our programme and projects beyond 2020.

TRANSNATIONAL COOPERATION PRESENTED TO EP IN BRUSSELS

Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE presented transnational projects tackling climate change to the European Parliament. Speaking at a Committee for Regional Development workshop on climate change and cohesion policy, the programme managing authority said that cooperation helps improve urban adaptation and mitigation capacities.

PORTRAITS OF COOPERATION IN CENTRAL EUROPE


2015 marked the 25th anniversary of the Interreg community and we took this opportunity to reflect on and celebrate what was achieved so far through working together beyond the borders in central Europe. Our PORTRAITS exhibition was opened with a Vernissage in Prague on 19 October and stayed open to public for a month.

LAUNCH CONFERENCE

The CENTRAL EUROPE Annual Conference 2014 linked the present to the future programme. Results of 124 projects implemented since 2007 were presented and discussed. At the same time, the new programme was introduced including information on  the first call for project proposals.
