Here you can browse through all events that we have organised and documented in order to support our applicants in our calls for proposals. Listed are also events that we have attended or jointly organised with other programmes.

2-3 April 2019, Vienna

To encourage further coordination and to support our applicants in building strong partnerships that will take outputs and results forward, we organised crossfertilisation and project idea development workshops. The main aim of the workshops was to encourage further coordination and better sustainability of outputs and results of our approved projects through crossfertilisation and offer opportunity for developing ideas and matchmaking for the call.

7 May 2019, Brussels

This Info Day was organised by the European Commission to support lead applicants with initial project ideas for our 4th call for proposals in their matchmaking with relevant partners from H2020/FP7. The event was an important milestone in taking cooperation forward beyond Interreg community, helping to activate new potential synergies across Interreg and Horizon 2020.

26 September  - 28 November 2017

Our national contact points organised information events to introduce interested stakeholders to our third call for proposals. The events presented the funding framework and the application process to potential applicants, and were complemented by good practices and open question rounds.  


7-8 November 2017, Prague

Throughout the third call for proposal, applicants are supported by the programme to improve the quality of their project applications. On the transnational level, four thematic workshops took place in Prague on 7 and 8 November 2017. The workshops were organised back-to-back and offered advanced applicants with concrete project ideas a mix of theoretic inputs and thematic discussions.

10 -11 May 2016 Zagreb, Croatia

In the second call training, we have trained more than 100 potential lead applicants in Zagreb on how to apply with us in our second call for project proposals. During the event we made potential lead applicants more familiar with basics of transnational cooperation, our Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE funding priorities and the general procedures of our programme. We presented the framework of the second call and offered hands-on learning experiences on developing a project work plan and budget.

As the first call for project proposals was organised according to a two-step procedure, this training focused on the rules and procedures of the first application step. During the event the joint secretariat guided lead applicants through the relevant content related, communication and financial sections of the  light application form.

Our national contact points organised information events to introduce interested stakeholders to the basics of our first call for proposals. The events focused on the application process in the second step of the first call. 

23 February 2016, Katowice, Poland

Why should I participate in a transnational Interreg project and how does it work? This was the main question in focus of a joint applicant seminar of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region and CENTRAL EUROPE programmes hosted by the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure and Development in Katowice on 23 February 2016. The event attracted more than 250 interested participants, mostly from Poland.  

The sessions and workshops were targeted at newcomers as well as at those more experienced in transnational cooperation. Mr Adam Hamryszczak, Deputy Minister for Economic Development,  Ms Susanne Scherrer representing Interreg Baltic Sea Region and Mr Luca Ferrarese from Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE invited participants to make use of the opportunities both programmes are offering. Other sessions provided advice on how to develop a project idea, how to become a lead partner and there was enough time for networking.

Presentations: morning sessions and afternoon sessions

13-17 June 2016, Brussels, Belgium

Between 13-17 June 2016 we have presented our programme and low carbon projects at the EU sustainable energy week. The event was a big success attended by 2100 participants, setting out  the new ideas, connections and motivation to build Europe’s sustainable energy future.

5 July 2016, Vienna, Austria

The technical meeting for Interreg programmes organised by the INTERACT was set to exchange experiences on the migration-related or other relevant thematic issues. The Conclusions of General Affair Council of 19 November 2015 states that “Interreg programmes, even though operating with a medium and long-term perspective, may support, where necessary and justified, and in complementarity with other appropriate funding streams, to help respond to migration related challenges within the framework of existing programme priorities and agreed intervention logic.”

The Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE also took part in these discussions and we have presented project Re-Turn as a good practice. The Re-Turn looked at the issue of returning migration and how regions of the central Europe benefited from that.
