OT3.1

OT3.1 - MODEL-BASED DECISION MAKING TOOL FOR EMERGING CONTAMINANTS (MODEPROCON)

odePROCON is a model-based decision making tool for emerging contaminants. The developing of modePROCON seeks to help the stakeholders to detect emerging contaminants, identify potential risks and implement proper model-based containment measures. The primary purpose of the tool is to guide the users owards performing solute transport model and field measurements for investigating the fate of emerging contaminants in the environment.

modePROCON is a decision support system with data availability check, and it is developed using Python. In case the data availability check gives a positive response, modePROCON suggests to the user that a modeling study can be performed. On the contrary, modePROCON will provide a possible explanation why modeling is not possible and it will provide possible solutions and suggestions needed to obtain the missing data and finally perform a modeling study.

OT1.2

O.T3.2 STANDARIZED TRAINING PROCEDURE FOR modePROCON,
IMPLEMENTED IN A MASSIVE OPEN ONLINE COURSE (MOOC)

The MOOC for modePROCON tool is available on the boDEREC-CE YouTube channel.

O.T3.3 IMPLEMENTATION OF MODEPROCON SHOWCASING FOR GROUNDWATER PILOT ACTIONS

Testing of modePROCON for the first pilot cluster (groundwater) gives an applicable example of the usage of the modeling tool for water management systems implemented in sites with groundwater extraction:

O.T.3.4 IMPLEMENTATION OF MODEPROCON SHOWCASING FOR SURFACE WATER PILOT ACTIONS

Testing of modePROCON for the second pilot cluster (surface water) gives an applicable example of the usage of the modeling tool for water management systems implemented in direct surface water extraction sites:

O.T3.5 IMPLEMENTATION OF MODEPROCON SHOWCASING FOR KARST WATER PILOT ACTIONS

Testing of modePROCON for the third pilot cluster (karst) gives an applicable example of the usage of the modeling tool for water management systems implemented
in karstic areas:
