Partners developed an IT based Tool for mapping and visualization of integrated digital healthcare solutions in order not only identify linkages and interdependencies among actors but also to match them and stimulate transfer cases. Strategy and action plan on joint digital healthcare innovation potentials will be reflected in emerging collaborative ecosystem which will strive to create cooperation scenarios among technology solution providers and relevant actors.

This Workpackage focused on defining new methods to boost the RTD & innovation performance of Digital Healthcare System Actors. Its two Outputs increased the level of joint available knowledge to make linkages among actors of the integrated digital health innovation system sustainable and based on long term plans: a network based modular learning system and interdisciplinary and cross sectoral based methodologies to establish innovation linkages based on a strategic task force will guarantee to achieve these goals.

Workpackage 3 produced two main outputs, the first one dedicated to design, development, implementation & evaluation of CE Digital Healthcare Excellence Spots through organisation of dedicated pilots in the target regions and the second to produce a joint transnational roadmap centered in the Excellence Spots for aligning the regional joint research and innovation agenda in digital health with a quadruple helix approach, and enlarging it to additional CE regions & their stakeholders including funding bodies, national RTD centres, ETPs, EIT/KIC, DG-SANCO and nnovation agencies among others.

The work package provided the base for the long term benefits of demonstrated effective, efficient & distributed CE transnational cooperation within the integrated CE digital healthcare innovation system. Two Outputs will guarantee long term sustainability and effectiveness of the established innovation linkages: 

1. The achieved permanent change in the current fragmented R&I / investment approaches will become a structural feature of the CE digital health innovation landscape

2. CE capitalisation strategy for integrated digital healthcare solutions with mutual EU linkages.
