FINAL CONFERENCE OF THE RUMOBIL PROJECT

RUMOBIL TEAM IS INVITING YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROJECT’S FINAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN WARSAW, POLAND ON APRIL 11th 2019.

The RUMOBIL project „Rural Mobility in European Regions affected by Demographic Change” is gathering 12 partners from the Central European countries within the Interreg Central Europe Program 2014-2020, whose common goal is to develop innovative transport solutions, which will reduce the dependence of people on their own means of transport. Main outputs of the RUMOBIL project were pilot actions, the elaboration of a RUMOBIL Strategy and policy decisions to implement it in eight partner regions through an improvement of their transport plans. During the conference, participants will be provided an insight into transnational cooperation between partners, public authorities, stakeholders and their transport entities confronting demographic change in peripheral areas. With significant demographic changes, regional public transport systems are also facing similar challenges to maintain the same level of service due to a decline in passenger numbers. Working together on the RUMOBIL, partners were provided with a platform for exchanging knowledge, generating learning through launching pilot applications of state-of-the-art tools and solutions, and an opportunity to revise transport policies to better suit changing mobility needs. During the conference, participants will be able to discuss the challenges related to the development of public transport on the outskirts of urban agglomeration, region and rural areas.
