Focus IN CD at annual meeting of German Pediatric Gastroenterology & Nutrition Society (GPGE)
From 27th to 30th March 2019, our German partner, Dr. von Haunersches Kinderspital (Klinikum Universität München) has organized the annual meeting of the Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology & Nutrition (GPGE) for Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland and presented our Focus IN CD project at several occasions.
First of all, the new and updated celiac passport as well as dissemination materials for our e-learnings were distributed to the visitors at our exhibition booth where also live presentations of our celiac disease e-learnings were given.
Furthermore, an oral abstract presentation as well as a poster about the e-learnings were presented. Finally, the German project manager of Focus IN CD, Dr. Katharina Werkstetter, held a seminar about the upcoming new European pediatric celiac disease guidelines together with Dr. Andrea Sustmann and finally also presented a short overview about the Focus IN CD project outputs at the need of the seminars.
Overall, all pediatric gastroenterologists were very enthusiastic about the different tools which they can implement both for patient care as well as for training of young physicians in training for gastroenterology as well as to better inform their referring general practitioners.
