KETGATE Study Visit at JOANNEUM RESEARCH in Weiz
TAKING COOPERATION FORWARD – under this motto the first STUDY VISIT was successfully held at JOANNEUM RESEARCH in Weiz.
On January 30th 2018 the eight project and some associated partners of KETGATE met for the first STUDY VISIT at the Institute MATERIALS of JOANNEUM RESEARCH in Weiz. Dr. Paul Hartmann, the director of the institute gave an overview of the technologies and applications of MATERIALS and the vice director, Dr. Georg Jakopic, presented selected reference projects. Afterwards the participants of the study visit had the possibility to visit the laboratories of the institute and to see the excellent infrastructure of MATERIALS in live.
In the afternoon, Dr. Jennifer Bilbao of Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum presented the vision and targets of the project KETGATE, followed by Maria Sole D´Orazio from Veneto Innovazione. She presented the first outcomings of the KETGATE online survey which was conducted in the first period of the project. Afterwards the three RTOs - JOANNEUM RESEARCH, Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd and Jožef Stefan Institute – presented statistics, experiences and challenges in transnational cooperations. Finally the challenges and needs of SMEs and RTOs were elaborated during an interactive workshop. The results are important to elaborate the working mode of the Smart KET Access Points and to develop the services to be offered.The results are important to elaborate the working mode of the Smart KET Access Points and to develop the services to be offered. In the evening the participants left to Ljubljana for the second STUDY VISIT at Jožef Stefan Institute.
