TAKING COOPERATION FORWARD

Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE improves capacities for regional development in innovation, carbon dioxide reduction, the protection of natural and cultural resources as well as transport and mobility. With our funding, we support transnational cooperation like yeast supports baking. We are the small but important ingredient that helps innovative yet isolated ideas grow: into jointly developed, tested and accepted solutions for a better central Europe.

By end of 2018, we have been funding 85 cooperation projects across central Europe. Around 159 million Euro from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is being transferred to these transnational partnerships in the coming years. The projects address shared regional challenges in the fields of innovation, low-carbon economy, environment, culture and transport.  In January 2019, additional 44 new projects were approved for funding.
