URBAN INNO presented on e-nova: Future of Buildings
The Department of Energy and Environmental Management of the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland (FH Burgenland) in Pinkafeld hosted the 21th international congress ‘e-nova’, on 23-24 November 2017. The overall theme ‘Future Buildings – digital, decentral and ecological’ attracted many experts from universities, research institutes and leading companies. This year more than 200 participants attended the ‘e-nova’ congress, one of the largest expert conferences in Burgenland. The far-ranging topics are widely interesting for people with a high technical background, as far as for students and other stakeholders.
One of the main topic during the two-day conference was digitalization in building technology. Further papers on low-tech buildings, decentral energy supply units and life cycle assessment were given. The purpose was to give a major contribution to innovation and to discuss possible solutions regarding digitalization.
The URBAN INNO project-team had a booth near the main lecture hall. Throughout the intervals between the workshops and lectures, there was time to present the URBAN INNO project to the participants. An additional poster to the booth gave the most significant information to the audience. Mr. Schneemann and Ms. Halper (PP Forschung Burgenland) were available for any questions regarding the project and discussed the purpose of the project and the main aspects with possible target groups.
Summing up the two days the ‘e-nova’ was a good platform giving in particular the chance for networking and provided us information about possible stakeholders in the region Burgenland/Steiermark.
