May 31st, Italy - A two-days meeting was held to discuss “The Secret World of Lakes” in the Parma Province, University Campus of Parma and at the Lagoni Refuge, Corniglio, an area of beautiful morainic lakes.

The meeting was a great opportunity to strengthen relationships between the University of Parma and the University of New York State, as it counted with the participation of the students of Paul Smith's College (state of New York, USA), who were visiting the territory for an international exchange between parks (Adirondack Park and Tosco-Emiliano Apennine National Park) and MaB UNESCO Biosphere Reserves (Champlain - Adirondack and Tosco-Emiliano Apennine). Furthermore, staff of the National Park, representatives of the University of Parma and guests from South Africa, always within the framework of an exchange between UNESCO biosphere reserves (Cape West Coast) attended the meeting.
