INFRASTRUKTUR & UMWELT (IU) is a well-established consultant company with an experienced team of experts in transnational cooperation. The core business of the company is research, development and consulting for more than 30 years.

The most important business fields of INFRASTRUKTUR & UMWELT comprise the areas of flood risk management and adaptation to climate change, energy and climate protection, solid waste management and environmental planning. One core competence is the development of strategies, tools and measures for climate protection and adaptation to climate change at the interface of spatial planning and sectoral planning.

INFRASTRUKTUR & UMWELT is experienced in the implementation of climate change adaptation strategies, heavy rain risk management and flood risk management on a practical level as well as in advising municipalities in adapting to climate change. The experts of INFRASTRUKTUR & UMWELT bring in scientific and practical experiences to the TEACHER-CE project, as they are involved in the implementation of European, national, regional and local climate adaptation strategies, the European Floods Directive and multi-risk assessments and management plans.

INFRASTRUKTUR & UMWELT works in the European INTERREG programmes since 1997, as project partner, as scientific consultant, as project management support or as project developer and application-consultant. Furthermore, INFRASTRUKTUR & UMWELT works on programme development and programme monitoring projects on behalf of different INTERREG programmes.
