What is your specific regional challenge that let you take part in SubNodes?	Welche regionale Herausforderung bewegte Sie dazu, am Projekt SubNodes teilzunehmen?
The district of Sömmerda with its eponymous district town borders the Thuringian capital of Erfurt. The medium sized center Sömmerda is approx. 30 km away from Erfurt. The city of Erfurt has been developed into a trans-European network node (TEN-T) in recent years with the help of European funding. The district of Sömmerda aims to participate in the effects of the TEN-T node. Our challenge is to design the sub -node Sömmerda as a transition point to regional public transport in such a way that it radiates effects throughout the entire region.	Der Landkreis Sömmerda mit seiner gleichnamigen Kreisstadt grenzt an die thüringische Landeshauptstadt Erfurt. Das Mittelzentrum Sömmerda ist ca. 30 km von Erfurt entfernt. Die Stadt Erfurt ist in den vergangenen Jahren mithilfe europäischer Fördermittel zu einem transeuropäischen Netzknoten (TEN-T) ausgebaut worden. Der Landkreis Sömmerda möchte an den Effekten des TEN-T Knoten partizipieren. Unsere Herauzsforderung ist es, den Subknoten Sömmerda als Übergangspunkt zum regionalen ÖPNV so zu gestalten, dass die Effekte in die gesamte Region ausstrahlen.
How do you plan to respond to this challenge within SubNodes?	Welche Aktivitäten planen Sie innerhalb des Projektes SubNodes konkret?
We will examine the sub-node Sömmerda closely. Weaknesses will be identified and countermeasures will be initiated. Strengths shall be maintained and developed. In the project SubNodes the entire public transport of the district is put to the test. We will be supported by the Thuringian Miniterium for Infrastructure and Agriculture and the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt. SubNodes will develop concrete proposals and create a basis for the transport of the future in the district of Sömmerda.	Wir werden den Subknoten Sömmerda einer genauen Betrachtung unterziehen. Schwachpunkte werden identifiziert und Gegenmaßnahmen initiiert. Stärken sollen erhalten und ausgebaut werden. In dem Projekt SubNodes wird der gesamte ÖPNV des Landkreises auf den Prüfstand gestellt. Dabei werden wir vom Thüringer Miniterium für Infrastruktur und Landwirtschaft sowie der Fachhochschule Erfurt unterstützt. SubNodes wird konkrete Vorschläge erarbeiten, und eine Grundlage für den Nahverkehr der Zukunft im Landkreis Sömmerda schaffen.
Which impact do you expect by SubNodes?	Welche Effekte erwarten Sie sich von dem Projekt?
We expect SubNodes as a basis on which the district of Sömmerda can revise its public transport concept. The future puiblic transport should have clearly defined transition points to the state capital of Erfurt and the Transport Association Central Thuringia. The station Sömmerda will define the cycle time for the local traffic. The public transport service in the district should become more interesting for all residents, and especially for commuters. The commercial areas of the district are to be connected to the TEN-T node Erfurt with a comprehensible, attractive timing via bus and rail.	Wir erwarten durch SubNodes eine Grundlage, auf der der Landkreis Sömmerda sein Nahverkehrskonzept ab 2019 überarbeiten kann. Der künftige Nahverher soll klar definierte Übergangspunkte zur Landeshauptstadt Erfurt und dem Verkehrsverbund Mittelthüringen aufweisen. Der Bahnhof Sömmerda wird der Taktgeber für den Nahverkehr. Das Angebot im Landkreis soll für alle Bewohner, insbesondere aber für Berufspendler interessanter werden. Die Gewerbegebiete des Landkreises sollen mit einer nachvollziehbaren, attraktiven Taktung über Bus und Schiene an den TEN-T Knoten Erfurt angebunden sein.
