SOLEZ at Urban Mobility Planning seminar in Žilina
The aim of the seminar is to familiarize municipal staff with current knowledge in the area of urban mobility and to share the exchange of experience. The seminar will summarize the conditions for the development of urban mobility in Slovakia, present examples from Slovakia and abroad, and through the presentation and practical exercises will bring together the relationship between spatial planning and urban mobility.
University of Zagreb, SOLEZ partner, participated the seminar in Žilina on 15-16 november to talk about urban mobility. University presented a Software tool for electrification planning for urban bus transport, the software tool is designed in a user-friendly way (windows, tabs, I/O data interfaces etc.), so that it may conveniently be used directly by transport companies.
Electric vehicles can reduce emissions of CO2 and pollutants and decrease 5-10 times lower energy cost (approx. saving of 1000-1500 EUR/year for C-class passenger car) and 50% lower maintenance costs.
