PPP conference
The Slovenian Institute for the public-private partnership with the cooperation of the House of the European Union in Ljubljana on 16th May 2017 organized a conference, promoting PPP as a dynamic partnership. Restaura Project Partner Manager Mitja Steinbacher took part at the event and presented the Restaura project at the last panel that was dedicated to presentations of PPP related projects.
The key parts of the event were concrete case studies: the renovation of the Bathani Castle (cultural heritage), the energy renewal of buildings, PPP and sports fascilities. The three examples were then complemented by the presentation of Restaura project that aims at providing the platform for the restoration of cutural heritage by the use of the PPP approach. Other presenters presented the PPP as a global trend, while the National Investment Bank representatives shared the most significant information concerning the national and European financial possibilities among others also for the PPP projects.
At the event Mitja Steinbacher presented the Restaura project: Revitalising Historic Buildings through Public-Private Partnership, focusing on the role of the FPV in the project and the project's main goals. The presentation was followed by an interesting debate with the audience and some participants expressed their support to the idea of using the PPP for the revitalisation of the cultural heritage buildings.
