PILOT ACTION – REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE KOPER
The Regional development centre of Koper prepared a feasibility study for sustainable intermodal solutions for commuter and tourist flows, including coastal settlements in the municipalities of Piran, Izola, Koper and Ankaran, plus more hilly/rural areas of the FUA. The focus was on cycling networks in the coastal area, cycling connections with hinterland and on a rent-a-bike system. The participatory planning process, established in the pilot project implementation, will further be developed in a permanent governance structure.
