Three years after the start
Funding ends, the project does not
To advance the development of environmentally friendly, intermodal last mile freight transport in urban areas, thirteen partners from four European countries, including Germany, Italy, Slovenia and Hungary, worked together in the international and interdisciplinary project InterGreen-Nodes. Now, on 5th of May the final conference of the project took place.
In addition to presenting the project results with policy measures and new technical approaches to make port operations greener and cleaner, exciting guest speakers were given:
- Jason McFarlane (CTO at Hyke) with his presentation on Hydrolift Smart City Ferries,
- Dorota Dybkowska-Stefek (Head of the Odra Waterways Office) on a new green terminal in the Port of Szczecin,
- Jan Erik Spereiter (Technical University Berlin) on ELEKTRA, an all-electric push boat, and
- Ulrike Schütz (European Spatial Development Unit) on the political view on urban nodes from the BSR Access project
for their interesting inputs for a cleaner and greener future. Stay in touch with our guest speakers.
The event was an important milestone and marks the end of three years of successful transnational project cooperation with highly motivated partners. Therefore, it is important for us to say thank you at this point, because it is said far too rarely:
