COOPERATION IS CENTRAL

Roundtable Meeting - 30.04.2021

On 30/04 the InduCCI partnership was represented at a roundtable meeting set up by the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE programme. The meeting brought together representatives of running projects working on Culture: fostering Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) and improving their entrepreneurial skills, and/or improving capacities for the preservation and sustainable use of cultural heritage at risk. A perfect opportunity for us to meet up and exchange with our European colleagues. And… the meeting brought about direct results: Next cooperation steps have already been taken!

Roundtable meeting

While entering the online meeting we were welcomed by a group of 6 other Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE projects working on culture, heritage and creativity. During project pitchings and exchange rounds, we had the chance to discuss outputs, approaches and good practices. It soon became clear that there were overlaps - revealing interesting opportunities for cooperation and dissemination of project results.

CCI and…?

InduCCI found common ambitions regarding 1) getting CCI on the agenda of European policy makers (CoCo4CCI) and 2) linking them with other sectors and players - such as producing companies (CoCo4CCI), municipalities (Stimulart), craftsmen and hospitality businesses (MacVillage). Even, challenges are comparable. We all aim to reach an answer to key questions as: How do we raise awareness on the side of industry/other sectors and on the side of CCI when it comes to increase cooperation? And what themes are actually out there for them to jointly work on? How can CCI be stimulated to group themselves into existing networks or platforms for stabilizing their economic position? How to convince local and European policy makers of the important role of CCI in regional development?

Next steps

The roundtable has already paid off as we have continued being in touch with both MacVillage and CoCo4CCI. A follow-up meeting took place on 17/05 for exchanging on test case methodology and setup. CoCo4CCI will present its approach to the entire InduCCI partnership during a meeting in June. And all colleague projects are kindly invited to participate in our final event (March 2022) for further tackling common topics!
