Four social initiatives on the starting blocks in Veneto
After completion of the trainings, four social ideas are ready to go.
Elisa lives in the countryside nearby Verona. Her business idea consists of an organic cosmetics line made of the plants growing in her garden. Furthermore, she would like to launch her own e-commerce where her clients would find not only the products, but also useful beauty advices and tutorials.
Federica’s business idea is a food-truck combing her passions: nice local food, craft beer and artistic performances.
Elisa and Federica are two of the participants of the first edition of the “IN SITU training and mentoring program”. The have decided to be part of the IN SITU project to bring their dream a step forward.
Veneto Region – Labour Department and ENAIP, Italian partners in the project IN SITU, decided to focus on long-term unemployed women under 30 and over 50, thus exploiting the advantages of intergenerational learning in terms of exchange of knowledge and values.

The Member of the Regional Council in charge of Labour and Training policies, Elena Donazzan, declared:
The results of the first edition exceeded expectations: in this small laboratory we have seen how working on entrepreneurship can significantly improve the attitude of long-term unemployed; frequently, people who have been out of the labour market for a while end up believing they have nothing to offer; actually, the women involved in the training showed creativity and talents they were not even aware of.
The participants of the first edition are now raising funds for their start-ups, also through crowdfunding platforms and under the guidance of their training tutors.
