Fraunhofer IMW were invited to take part at the expert discussion “Financing of energy efficiency investment in SMEs because of the experience of the Fraunhofer IMW in this area and the existing network. Different stakeholders from the state Hesses were represented there like Landesamt für Umwelt Rheinland–Pfalz, Hessen Trade and Invest, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management as well as many banks and SMEs. The goal of the expert discussion was to determine the local situation concerning investment opportunities for SMEs in energy efficiencies measures. For the representative of Fraunhofer IMW this was an excellent opportunity to exchange experience about market failure and good practice examples from another state in Germany.
