In the framework of the Dynaxibility project, Parma will introduce a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) in order to limit access to vehicles with a high environmental impact to the area inside the city's ring roads. This will be achieved through a control system with cameras capable of reading the vehicle's environmental class and penalising any incorrect access. It will take place gradually start and with a new regulation which will be characterized by a gradual approach to the provision, while reducing the access to the city in a step-by-step approach.

Furthermore, intermodal transport systems will foster the options to reach the city centre from the park & ride-locations outside the ring roads in order to maintain accessibility.  The Municipality of Parma will also promote e-mobility, thanks to its collaboration with 'Be Charge', an Italian company which started a new charging network for electric vehicles. The cooperation will guarantee the installation of 30 stations with overall 60 chargers and represents a first implementation phase of an electrification project. Overall, 51 new stations for 102 new charging points to be added to the 10 stations already operating in the municipal area.
