CrowdFundPort and AltFinator reach out Council Presidency to improve regulatory proposal for Crowdfunding platforms

The European Council is currently debating the proposal of the European Commission for a European Crowdfunding Service Provider Regimes. One of its innovative features was the introduction of a 29th regime. Crowdfunding platforms could opt-in to operate under this regime if they wanted to facilitate the emission of securities across borders. The Council instead seems to favor a harmonization regime. The project CrowdFundPort and AltFinator jointly state that they, along with the Crowdfunding Industry, the European Parliament and the European Commission are in favor or the 29th regime, which also found the majority of stakeholders which contributed to the consultation process of the European Commission.
