Nzambi Matee turns "trash into cash"

Innovation springs up in many different forms and locations. Not for the first time, but also surely not for the last one, Africa is providing us with some of the most innovative minds in the field of Circular economy and sustainability. 

One of those minds is a young Kenyan Nzambi Matee who invented a way to turn plastic waste into strong, reliable and cheap building material. Her "made of waste plastics" brick is claimed to be stronger than concrete and is one important stone in the mosaic of creating more sustainable future, not only in her own immediate surroundings but worldwide.

Mrs. Matee founded the company Gjenge Makers and her story is one of those that include a vision, backyard or garage start and then breakthrough.
