Fishwaste to plastic alternative

Some products made from MarinaTex

University of Sussex student, Lucy Hughes, created MarinaTex, a compostable compound with byproducts of the fishing industry as its main ingredient and  she hopes it will one day replace much of the single-use plastic. As an additional "plus", the product is also edible.

This is an incredible example how innovation based on Circular economy principles can create sustainable, usable and viable answers to the World's current issues.
