Regional Steering Group Meeting in Zagreb
01.03.2018
Main objectives of the 2nd Regional Steering Group, staged on 14th of February 2018 in Zagreb, were to present the current project outcomes and define RSG involvement in the forthcoming project activities, principally related to pilot projects.

The reaction of the RSG was positive, especially after seeing the comprehensiveness of work undertaken by EIHP. Mr Željko Lovrak from Lika Energo Eko proposed to enlarge the waste heat database, with data directly from enterprises, using contacts from the Chamber of commerce.

Among others, the representatives from the Spačva d.d. (wood industry) were very much interested in implementing the pilot projects in an industry specific environment, bringing to the project additional value. They are conscious about the fact that they are in possess of significant quantities of waste heat, but they have lack of knowledge how to purposely use it.
The feasibility study that will tackle waste heat utilization in wood industry Spačva d.d. and project design for waste heat utilization in cogeneration plant Lika Energo Eko were adopted as pilot projects.
All the participants were very cooperative and agreed about the additional value of the project given by pilots, from the perspective of electricity/thermal power and furniture producers.
