The implementation of the CEUP 2030 project (Central Europe Upstreaming for Policy Excellence in Advanced Manufacturing & Industry 4.0 towards 2030) has started, which aims to create policies in the field of Industry 4.0. The project is funded by the Interreg Central Europe Transnational Cooperation Program 2014-2020. The Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investment (HAMAG-BICRO) participates in the implementation of the European project as a project partner for Croatia.

The CEUP 2030 project is aimed at creating policies in the area of Industry 4.0, ie advanced production in Central Europe (SE). The project concept is designed to meet the challenges and needs of currently available high-quality innovative know-how in Central Europe. Namely, the current situation indicates a lack of cooperation and a defined structure for achieving added value at the level of policy making, as well as the limitation of the competitive potential of related regions.

The project was approved as part of an experimental call based on the idea of improving the results of projects funded through the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE program. Project ideas were to build on the results of at least three different projects co-financed through the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE program and directly coordinated EU programs such as HORIZON 2020, LIFE, Connecting Europe Facility, of which at least two projects were to be from the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE program.

The project activities cover 30 regions of Central Europe, and project partners come from Croatia, Poland, Austria, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Belgium. As a final result of the project, an action plan will be developed with clear and harmonized strategic guidelines with the possibility of rapid implementation, so that all participants together move in the same direction of development of the innovation ecosystem of Central Europe.

The total value of the project is 1.1m euros, most of which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The estimated duration of the project is 24 months.
