Toward Arrival Regions final periods: Work-Packages Development and Main Results

Arrival Regions project is already ongoing since may 2019. Within its development a wide number of activities have been realized and, at the same time, with the implementation of the pilot actions, a wider and wider number of local stakeholders has been - and is going to be - involved, directly or indirectly, in the project.

The most important and relevant results will be gathered during the last year of the project, through the conclusion of activities and pilot actions in each involved areas. Meanwhile, with this article, we want to focus on the main results already reached in the thematic work-packages since thebeginning of the project:

 WP T1 - CAPACITY BUILDING FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION IN THE INTEGRATION OF NON-EU NATIONALS

GOOD PRACTICES

  • D.T1.1.1 - Good practice desk research & D.T1.1.5 - Good practice documentation
     
    • 45 good practices have been identified and documented from: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Czech, Portugal, Italy, England, Slovenia, Poland, Greece, Spain, Germany, Croatia, Austria and Danube Region. 
    • 12 good practice on SOCIAL INNOVATIONS
    • 9 good practice on INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE
    • 10 good practice on MIGRANTS’ ECONOMY
    • 10 good practice on SOCIAL INNOVATION, MIGRANTS’ ECONOMY
    • 4 good practice on INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE, SOCIAL INNOVATION AND NETWORKING

 
  STUDY TRIPS

  •   D.T1.1.2 - List of possible study trip destinations
    • in July 2019 project partners were divided into 9 groups depending on their interest in the selected good practice, each partner could declare participation in two study visits

  • D.T1.1.4 - Study trip reports 
    • 12 reports have been collected and 48 questionnaires about the lessons learned during the trip
    • 11 study trips with 12 good practices investigated
    • Countries visited: Poland (Warsaw), Italy (Pettinegro & Alessandria), Spain (Seville & La Cerollera), Norway (Molde), Germany (Döbeln, Kulmbach, Berlin & Munich), Sweden (Linköping);

TRANSNATIONAL STRATEGY

  • D.T1.1.6 - Transnational Strategy - first major project output O.T1.1
    • the draft version of the Strategy was prepared on the basis of a discussion that took place in Szczecin (Poland), 4th December 2019 all partners were involved in the Strategy preparation process.

TRAININGS

  • D.T1.2.1 - List of training objectives
    • in July 2019, a list of training goals was set, these goals were discussed during the package leaders meeting in Gdańsk
    • INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE: Preventing and addressing racism, xenophobia, discrimination and hate crime against migrants, Facilitating the civic and linguistic integration of migrants
    • SOCIAL INNOVATION AND NETWORKING: Migrant education and the integration of children and youth, Migrant healthcare
    • MIGRANTS' ECONOMY - Migrants’ access to the labour market and migrant entrepreneurship in rural area
  • D.T1.2.2 - Selection of trainers
  • D.T1.2.3 - Partner workshop Pilsen
    • The trainers selected by the partners took part in the workshop which took place during the meeting of project partners in Pilsen
    • Two additional online meeting for trainers were organized

    • The methodology was developed on the basis of the experience gathered during the workshop in Pilsen

The implementation of pilot actions is proceeding according to the limits imposed by the current sanitary crisis that is interesting the involved areas with different development and boundaries.
