Arrival Regions kick-off meeting

The Arrival Regions Kick-off meeting sets the stage for exploring social innovation approaches for the social and economic integration of non-EU nationals within three years of transnational cooperation in Central Europe Area.
23 participants from 13 partner institutions took part in the kick-off meeting of the project Arrival Regions. This meeting was organized by the Leibniz Institute for Regional Geography (lead partner) and the District of Burgenland and took place on 9th and 10th of May 2019 in Leipzig and Naumburg, Germany. The kick-off gave an official launch to the project and initiated activities in several working packages.
The partners introduced activities that will take place in six involved countries (Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Czech Republic and Poland), and defined the earliest actions to be realized in the next six months; during the meeting the members had the opportunity to review the work plan, the main objectives, the key activities and the outputs to be reached within the project.
The second day meeting took place in the Burgenland district in Naumburg, after the introduction and the visit at the Migrant Agency building, the partners focused on the exchange of planned pilot actions in the respective territories.
