The Fraunhofer IWU presents the 3D printing process Screw Extrusion Additive Manufacturing (SEAM) at the Hannover Messe 2019.

Using the 3D printing process Screw Extrusion Additive Manufacturing (SEAM), complex geometries can be produced eight times faster than other 3D printing processes. It is possible to produce large-format plastic components with cost-effective plastic granulate instead of high priced FLM filament. This makes it possible to manufacture large, resilient, fiber-reinforced components and reduce material costs by a factor of 200. The process will be presented at the Hannover Messe 2019.
