1st Partner meeting in Genoa
YOUMOBIL partners met in Genoa, Italy, from 10th to 11th October 2019, for the first time after the kick-off, rounding up the first reporting period.
After the warm welcome of our host, T Bridge, the meeting began with the overall project progress (work package Management) overview, presented by the Lead partner, Ministry for regional development and transport of Saxony-Anhalt. It was a great thing hearing that we’re on track with all the activities.
The same is with the first technical work package – activities dealing with smart transport solutions for rural areas to promote young people’s access to public transport. First workshops involving young people are behind us and recommendations were given for the upcoming ones. After piloting partners presented their findings, an elaboration on Study paper on smart rural concepts took place. Activity leader T Bridge explained the next steps and timeline for the next activities.
The second technical work package – promotion of young people’s initiatives to reinvent public transport access points, led by University of Žilina, started with the activity overview, introducing the most important deliverable of the first period – site portfolio. Each partner presented the piloting site, with the status quo and future possible outcomes. Presentation about workshop series followed, concentrating on the guidelines for the first visioning workshop. After this presentation, we debated about the upcoming summer school in Slovakia which will take place in June 2020.
Communication activities, coordinated by HŽ Passenger transport, are concerning all the project activities and an overview was presented at the end. We talked about the social media, press releases, website, local communication messages, event presentations etc. The focus was on the Interrail campaign 2019 which took place during the summer. Partners in turn presented their experiences and a discussion took place about what will be done next year.
The meeting ended with the Steering group meeting and planning of the upcoming activities and events.
We had a short tour of Genoa, thanks to our host and a most delicious networking dinner. To conclude, there were “old” partners from RUMOBIL project and new ones that blended in from the start, a lot of work and a bit of fun.
