TalkNET at the Transport Logistic trade fair in Munich

6th June 2019

How can cooperation mechanisms between freight transport actors be harmonized? How can multimodal transport in central European regions be more environmentally friendly?

These will be the two main themes of the event - organized by TalkNET partners and coordinated by ITALCAM - that will take place in Munich on the occasion of Transport Logistic trade fair, the world's leading trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management. The fair will be a perfect business platform and a driving force for the global logistics and transport industry. The conference "How To Improve Multimodal Environmentally-Friendly Freight Solutions in Central Europe?” will be structured in two panels addressing some of the main issues of logistics and intermodal transport: the first panel focuses on "Eco-innovative solutions for freight transport", while the second revolves around "Multimodal transport solutions".

The event takes place on the 6th June 2019 in Forum II, in the Hall B2 West, from 14:00 to 15:30.

Speakers include Armin Riedl (CEO of Kombiverkehr und Lokomotion), Agnes Hernad (CEO of Rail Cargo Operator - Hungaria Kft.), Nunzio Savarese (Commercial Executive Short Sea Lines - Grimaldi Group), Stanisław Iwan (Associate professor at the Maritime University of Szczecin - Department of Transport Systems). Lajos Veer (Sales Manager Hungary - Shell Fleet Solutions) and Harald Leupold (HL Consulting and Wagener & Herbst Management Consultants GmbH). Many other authoritative personalities with great experience in the logistics sector will also contribute to the topics discussed in the two panels.

The event will discuss the role of multimodality and eco-innovative solutions in supply chain management, which are essential for the creation of a transport system in Central Europe that can be effectively competitive and efficient.

Further key points of discussion will be the ways in which freight transport can be shifted sustainably from road to rail or sea, but also the promotion of eco-innovation in freight logistics, the development of multimodal corridors, the optimization of the performance of multimodal logistics networks and the need to consolidate efficient methods in order to maintain an uninterrupted flow of information in the logistics chain.

The event will be moderated by Sebastian Reimann, editor-in-chief of DVZ Deutsche-Verkehrszeitung, the renowned trade magazine on transport and logistics.

The event will involve freight forwarders, terminal operators, logistics operators, as well as stakeholders and policymakers from different Central European countries.
