Energy efficiency and renewable energy financial instruments for managing authorities – FIRECE project, 17-18 January 2019, Brussels

The fi-compass workshop "Energy efficiency and renewable energy financial instruments for managing authorities – FIRECE project" took place on 17 and 18 January 2019, in Brussels, Belgium. The workshop was designed for managing authorities and other stakeholders from the FIRECE project which is being undertaken under the Interreg Central Europe programme and includes partners from Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Poland.
During the workshop, participants were taken through the different phases of the life cycle of designing and implementing ESIF financial instrument for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in the programming period 2014-2020.
The workshop featured the following content:
- Sessions dedicated to the life cycle of designing and implementing financial instruments in delivering ESIF 2014-2020 objectives
- Further sessions with a specific focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy cases, followed by an introduction to the Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) and Energy Service Company (ESCO)
- Q&A sessions throughout the workshop to enable peer-to-peer discussion
