Cross visit: Partners from Veneto region presented their Pilot activities

Veneto Region Tourism Department, PP8 Centro Internazionale Civiltà dell’Acqua Onlus and Ciset welcomed on 20 and 21 September 2018 in Venice representatives of LP1 Budafok-Tétény Municipality and PP11 Soòs Istvàn Wine Making Secondary School on the occasion of the Pilot Action Type 3 Cross Visit.
During the two-day visit, both the modules of the Pilot Action developed by the two Italian partners were explained with the presence and help of the youngsters involved in the initiative.
The first day was dedicated to Module A, developed by Centro Internazionale Civiltà dell’Acqua Onlus: after an introductory meeting at the High School on Tourism “F. Algarotti” , where the students showed and described the 5 digital tours they created to discover Venice’s sailing traditions, a test of the “Cannaregio” tour was carried out with visits to the “Arzanà” Association – traditional boatyard, now museum, in the heart of the district – and to “Venice on Board”, young amateur rowing association founded few years ago thanks to the commitment of three young Venetians who wanted to give their contribution for the preservations of the traditions of their city.
The second day was focused on Module B, in charge of Veneto Region Tourism Department and implemented by Ciset – International Centre for Studies on Tourism Economics: the young students of the “Craft Tourism Designer Course” - one year educational path developed in the framework of the ESF Call #Sogna studia crea during which they were trained in tourism/navigation/crafts/accommodation/culture/enterprise to implement a competitive but sustainable tourism offer – talked about their class and internship experience (indoor-outdoor laboratories, 2 internships, study visit) supported by the contribution of two hosting stakeholders, Mr. Maurizio Ulliana (Museum of River Navigation of Battaglia Terme) and Mr. Lorenzo Parretti (Battello Foraneo Capitan Bragadin). On this occasion, some video-interviews of the mini-series related to traditional boating “The Interviews of YouInHerit”, shot by Veneto Region Tourism Department , were shown.
Two days of intensive work and mutual exchange among the partners, but above all a unique occasion to show the concrete results of an innovative Pilot Action tailor-made on youngsters, able to involve them throughout its development until the final phase of the Pilot Cross Visit where they had the possibility to describe firsthand what they have experienced and learned.
