Consultation open for the EU Forest Strategy – Your voice matters

Under the European Green Deal, the European Commission has announced a new EU Forest strategy that will build on its biodiversity strategy, cover the whole forest cycle and promote the many services forests provide. The strategy will aim to ensure healthy and resilient forests that contribute to biodiversity, climate goals and secure livelihoods. It will focus on European forest protection, restoration and sustainable management, where not already covered.

Now it’s your turn to contribute and express your opinion! The Commission is still looking for inputs and feedback from all over Europe until the 4th of December. Feedback will be taken into account for further development and fine tuning of the initiative. The Commission will summarise all the provided input in a synopsis report.
