PIOIRO - Polish Chamber of Packaging Recycling and Recovery
Polish Chamber of Packaging Recycle and Recovery (PIOIRO) was established on 30th April 2014. It is a local government economic association of 103 enterprises connected with the entire life cycle of packaging, including designing, manufacturing, using stage, waste management, recycling and recovery. PIOIRO activities are based on economic chambers directive ensuring performing of basic statutory aims, e.g. representing and protecting industry members in relations with state agencies and other national and foreign organizations. The range of activities includes supporting development of entrepreneurship in packaging and packaging waste industries. PIOIRO promotes state-of-art technological and organizational innovations via creating effective, environmental legislative and economic conditions. PIOIRO aims at reducing waste at source and in constant development of recovery and recycling systems with simultaneous consideration of human and environment protection. PIOIRO supports economic efforts and allows market representatives an active participation in creating legislation that will promote the highest standards of safety (best technology available). The Chamber is opened to all packaging and waste packaging industry members regardless to size or ownership. PIOIRO aim is being representative to all members in promoting environmental protection and sustainability. Mission and statutory tasks are performed trough organizational, educational and legislative activities.
